Guitar

Hi people. Here is an open question. Since I got my guitars back I have been considering playing guitar live again. Who thinks I should pick it up again?
I play guitar all day every day as I am always working on new songs. Let me know if you think I should hit it live. The king is dead.
God save the king.

Artistic block and competing with your old self.

Hello, I find i am having the same trouble and ponder these questions to myself. But rather than the guitar, its the pencil and paintbrush. I have thoughts of, "Why did i stop doing it?" and "am i ever good enough as i use to be?" Tonight as i am sitting with my long time childhood friend "attempting" to get back into my old ways of being in a trance and painting or drawing, i am reminded that it is so important to not let go of your old soul. it is how it feels, like i am visiting myself again. it is so hard to get started and its like i am in competition with my old self. I almost feel like it wasn't me that created what i created. It is actually your music that inspired alot of my motivation for my art. I for some time decided to clean the slate and get rid of that "music scene" for some years. I realise now, that although i am hopeless with a musical instrument, i was without a muse once i stopped listening to your music, and alot of others. I now have learnt that it is a part of my life. It helps me escape into another world and inspire my subconcious to express itself. Without your beautiful raw, authentic music, and along with many other, i would not cope. I have learnt how important it is to me, finally. Music is so beautiful. It makes you FEEL. What can be more beautiful. I ran away from feeling, so it seems i have learnt now. I stopped doing my art for a period of time. And in that process, ran away from myself. There was an incredibla poem i wrote when i was i believe 14yrs old that was inspired by you, Audioslave. I threw it out! I threw out alot of things. I think i threw out my soul. Since making my return into your beautiful music world, i am discovering myself again. And discovering my core of expression through my art from your music. Thank you for being in this world =-) Thank you SO MUCH. Cassandra-lee. XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXOX

I beg your pardon??

I dont believe it is possible for you to ever put down the guitar. It is one of many of your beautiful gifts that we have the delight and pleasure of hearing and get moved by. =-) Do not ever give up your gifts. You were given them for a reason:) And do not ever doubt that they are worthy of hearing and exploring. Although, it is nice to be able to hear what your fans feel and think of your ponderous questions.. So, sure, pick it up again! You are NOT dead! Cassandra-lee. XO *big LOVE*

Guitar Playing

Yes you should! I would love for you to do a Blues Album with your guitar. The one at the end of Watch Out on Scream is a perfect example. I can feel your soul coming through that. You have some great ones with Audioslave as well. I just want to listen to what you would have to say through the blues. Thank you for what you give of yourself. It's powerful.

Yes, yes, yes

I have followed you since Soundgarden. WHFS radio in D.C turned me on to you. I have loved watching you diverge and change and experiment. This latest album is magnificent and you are right...it has to be listened to a a whole. It is a real album that flows from one song to the next. I love you and I am a very big fan of Timberland, which is a lot to say from a hard core R&Roll person. This album is simply amazing. What was rolling Stone thinking? They do not get it! You on MTV unplugged is divine--it made me cry--so you see you have to because it gives people like me who have lost so much in this recession some hope and a great deal of pleasure. Yes you must pick up your guitars--or I will cry and you don't want that--I know. I believe in you and what you are doing 100 percent. Ground zero is so amazing Your voice and playing makes my heart and soul soar

Guitar

You have great talents, whether playing lead or rhythm while you sing gives the songs more essence. Scream is okay, the more i hear the album the more i understand the project. I don't know how you would play some of those songs live in concert with all the sound effects but I'm sure you manage well. Good luck and don't burn out, smoke some and love some.....................

You are amazing. Guitar, voice, presence, well, you get the picture. You have true talent, I wish you much luck with the new album, but being a 15 plus year fan of yours, would LOVE to see you pick up that guitar...XO
