Chris Cornell as Jesus in a 'Jesus Christ Superstar' remake!

Ok, I realize that a lot of people have no idea what 'Jesus Christ Superstar' is, and of those that do, many may not even like it. But holy crap! (pun intended) Chris would do an amazing job. Ok, so it's never goin' to happen (then again, I would have said that about CC and Timbaland teaming up), but I will continue to dream :)

I totally agree with you Brian731. This subject matter has come up before in this forum. Maybe if we keep bringing it up now and again.... someone in the Cornell Camp might consider it!!! *hint-hint*

OMG! I am laughing so hard I think I just woke my kids up! Laughing even harder because I would not put it past you to actually show up with leg irons from work! ROFL!!!!

The Jesus Christ Superstar suggestion has come up over and over again at intervals over the years. Of course, the original creator of the role was Deep Purple frontman Ian Gillan...the only man prior to Chris Cornell who could actually scream in tune, although his tone quality was weedy by comparison. ;)

All this talk of Jesus Christ Superstar.... I think I'll have to break out my CD and listen to it again. Brings back good memories!

Since I first heard superunknown, i've had this thought of Chris Cornell playing JC in a remake of Jesus Christ Superstar... I signed up to the forum, just so I could post about it. To hear that others have suggested it before makes me feel all warm n' fuzzy inside.. lol... Seriously, he would own as JC!
