on the ride home from work today I listened to MOTORHEAD ("Kiss Of Death"). Oh, and the new QOTSA "Era Vulgaris" too. Windows down blasting...because "the only way to feel the noise is when it's good and loud" (Motorhead, "Overkill")

Trying to get into icky thump/ now lisnin to Carry On

I am trying to get into Icky thump, ususally love all white stripes - their version of Jolene is unbelievable and I love CC doing 7 nation army. With all new cds I have to listen many times to get into it-- cept with all CC --love them from the get go. I have listened to Killing Birds 100 times -amongst the rest. Earlier today, Leonard Cohen, then RHCP pixies, Audioslave.

Well you r one of the few ppl I have "met" who even know who he is! I was listening to The Future. I wonder if ppl realize how many of his songs have been covered? His biography is a good read, he has definitely tried it all. He was into Tibet plight long before Richard Gere , etc...

I have been seeing a few avatars of Layne Staley, I used to be a huge fan, but ever since he died and the fact that he was in his apt. for 2wks b4 anyone found him- I just canot get it outta my head! I knew someone who was in rehab w/ him and said he was funny as h*ll !
